Your Choices
An unplanned pregnancy can leave you with a lot of questions and emotions. You may feel scared, overwhelmed, uncertain, or pressured by others to make a decision quickly.
At the Clarksville Pregnancy Help Clinic, we believe every woman deserves accurate information, compassionate support, and the opportunity to make an informed decision. Because we do not perform or refer for abortions, and we do not profit from your pregnancy decision, our goal is simply to provide information and support as you consider your options.
If you have a positive pregnancy test, you generally have three options to consider:
- Parenting
- Adoption
- Abortion
We are here to help you learn more about each option.
Abortion
If you are considering abortion, it is important to gather accurate medical information before making a decision.
Questions to Consider
- Have you confirmed your pregnancy with a pregnancy test?
- How far along are you?
- Is the pregnancy developing normally?
- Could you have an ectopic pregnancy requiring immediate medical attention?
- What are the potential risks and side effects of the abortion procedure you are considering?
A limited ultrasound can help determine viability and estimate gestational age. Understanding your pregnancy can help you make an informed decision about your next steps.
Adoption
Modern adoption offers several options for women who are not ready to parent but want to continue their pregnancy.
You may choose open, semi-open, or closed adoption depending on your preferences and circumstances.
If you are interested in learning more about adoption, we can connect you with reputable adoption resources and help you understand the process.
Parenting
For many women, parenting may be difficult, but it is still possible with the right support and resources.
You May Be Wondering
- How will I afford a baby?
- How will I finish school?
- What about childcare?
- What if I am raising my child on my own?
- What community resources are available?
The Clarksville Pregnancy Help Clinic offers pregnancy education, parenting education, community referrals, and practical support through our Earn While You Learn Program.
